By using LaiEduHub, schools and their staff agree to abide by the following ethical standards and security protocols. This policy is designed to protect both the institution and the platform core.
1. Ethical Use of the System
The LaiEduHub system is provided exclusively for the advancement of educational management and learner assessment. All users must:
- Input accurate and truthful data regarding learner assessments and institutional records.
- Use the platform solely for designated educational and administrative purposes.
- Refrain from any activity that attempts to disrupt the system's performance or integrity.
2. Data Protection & Privacy
In alignment with the Kenyan Data Protection Act (2019), we guarantee the following:
Private Dashboards
School dashboards are strictly private. LaiTech Solutions and the LaiEduHub core team **DO NOT** access sensitive school data without explicit, written authorization for support purposes.
Institutional Control
The school remains the sole 'Data Controller' for all learner and staff information entered into their assigned workspace.
3. Account & Credential Security
Security is a shared responsibility. By accepting these terms, you agree to:
Strict Prohibition of Credential Sharing
Giving or sharing login credentials with unauthorized persons is strictly forbidden. The institution will be held **fully responsible** for any data breaches or misuse resulting from such actions.
Mandatory Strong Passwords
Staff must ensure they use strong, unique passwords. Details can be updated anytime through the 'Profile' section to maintain security posture.
4. Intellectual Property & Misuse
To protect the innovation behind LaiEduHub, the following are strictly prohibited:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the system.
- Using the system to host or transmit malicious software, viruses, or illegal content.
- Unauthorized commercial exploitation of the LaiEduHub name, logo, or features.
5. Compliance & Termination
LaiTech Solutions reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if any breach of this policy is detected. The institution agrees to indemnify and hold LaiTech Solutions harmless against all losses, expenses, and damages arising from the institution’s misuse or negligent security practices.
